What's the major difference between nitro a FE rudders?

My buddy gave me what I think is a Speedmaster 6.25" rudder but it seems really heavy to me. Wondered if it's for a gas/nitro and if it would work. The bracket is really heavy is my worry.

Too Funny! I just wondered why they list rudder application as for FE or Nitro.

The larger SM hardware is for larger boats whether they be nitro, Gas or FE. That size rudder would be applicable for a 8S or 10S set-up or something in the 10+lb range.

Tony Heller almost has that exact rudder on his Cyberstorm 32 because the 21/40 size nitro hardware kept bending in hard crashes.

So yes you can use it.........................

I'm looking to add it to my 32" Toysport Triton. I'm going to have to cut it down about an inch though based on my reading about rudder length, but this hull is the stepped version and I'm having issues with prop wallk and hoping the larger rudder will resolve.
