    Recommended 2S-#s Fun Boat

Any recommendations for a 2S-3S fun boat or should I just go brushless with my Rio?

Looking for 20-30 mph no preference on hull type but would like to handle some chop so was thinking mono or cat. I kind of like the looks of the DF 26 clone.

Not adverse to building one to get what I want. Looked at the Shorkwave Breathless but I do not like the steering strut arrangement. I could probably achieve the same performance with my Rio going brushless.

    Title should have read 2S-3S

Well the shockwave or widowmaker would be the best rtr for what you want. The shockwave would be better and a little xtra $$$ you can change the strut. You could get a cheap arowana http://r2hobbies.com/eng/proddetail....bt0401002_code and put your own motor in it 3900kv for 2s or around 3500kv for both 2s & 3s. But you would be better going brushless with your rio.

Or if you really want to get a cool little minicatracing cat for so 3s fun http://www.minicatracingusa.com/vcat.html. I would go with the minicat for 3s fun. And the mono will self right if you tape it right and cg is right http://www.minicatracingusa.com/vmono.html

      Thanks for the comments.
I already have three micro boats, V hull, Cat and Small Bolt and they are somewhat of smooth water boats except the V which self rights most of the time. I was looking for something 25-27 inches that had future upgrade potential rather than having to buy another boat down the road. Present priority would be stable and with reliable modest power for a low stress low concentration drive around fun boat.

The delta 25 or knockoff is one of my best running boats in that size range. Fun, fast and relatively cheap.

What motor and fittings would you recommend for this hull. Was thinking could start with a smaller motor for the 2S-3S duty (380) but big ESC then upgrade the motor later (540) if necessary.

            I've run a few motors. For fun I run a 540 9L with either 2s or 3s depending on the water conditions. For racing I run a 540 6L.

For hardware I run a supervee strut with .150 cable with an odd ball rudder. But a speedmaster mini mono rudder will work.
