Don’t make the mistake I did using Grim Grease.
I applied the grease to the flex cable on my K&B lower unit, but didn’t run it until over a years time had passed. I ended-up melting the brush bell of the motor, as the grease had turned to a putty like consistency, which caused some serious resistance. It only took about twenty seconds to 'Smoke Test' that brushed motor.
    Another lesson learned . . . .

All you have to do in HazeGry's house is simply open the cap on the grim grease to get his wife complaining from the other room!

I have been using Lucas Extra heavy duty wheel bearing grease. Home Depot has this and you get a lot for the price.

          Features:

          -Exceed all marine applications
-Resist slinging out of fast moving parts
          -Resists washing out
          -Resists melting at high temps
-Resists squeezing out under heavy loads
          -Maintains constant film of protection
          -May use on electric contacts

          ~Peace.
