in my experience with both poly resin and z-poxy, neither work... i m contenplating a couple of the 3 racing axial carbon trays mounted to the floor of the hull..

also curious as to what others are doing for side / side battery mounting...

Firstly I have never mounted velcro directly onto f/g. I have some mil-spec double sided tape that I have, I should test to see how well it sticks on f/g. This stuff ain't cheap either. But if it works it works, right?!

I have rails in my DF Cyber Storm and I made a battery tray out of plexi. Battery sticks on the velcro stuck on the Plexi.

With that said, I am finally finishing my HPR build, and I don't have trays for the batteries, so I might try out the HD double sided tape theory.

I am using super glue on the velcro strips to the fiberglass and they never come up. Not sure if I could rip them off if I wanted to...

I use 3M double sided tape. It is awesome stuff. I once used it to attach the rear sponsons to the hull of a rigger, i ruined both sponsons trying to get them off.
Never tried it on FG but i imagine it would do the job.

                      Steve.

I use marine goop. Holds up for ages if you glue to a clean hull.

use ca glue(cyanoacrylate er somethin) as long as its flat it worked awesome for me,or maybe shoo goo on a roughed up surface.
