I used a 580 7L in mine (vid in my signature), I would go with Make's post. Good set-up, I think the xl's are too small for the 37" genesis. A Leopard would rock as well either the 1400 or 1774. I like the neu setup though myself

Big difference in prices of those two motors. $245.00 and the others 89.00.Wat up with that.

I just got the Genesis in the mail today!!! This thing looks tuff!

It ran 100% better with the batteries as far forward as they could go and a CF45 prop. In the video I was playing with the CG and it had a m445 on it, but it ran better on the other set-up I just didn't have video for it. 48mph with that motor on a CF45 and 50+ with the m445. I think the video it ran 53mph on the gps.

              I think a leopard 1774kv on 4s or 5s or a a 1400kv on 6s would be awesome. JMO

I have admired this motor for quite some time but never had an exact application for it.........I think it would be a perfect fit for the Gen on 6s........its big.....36x88, and apparently highly efficient. It should get the Gen into the mid to high 40's for one bill.

But i still like the 1521 setup best, but this is a less expensive alternative that will give good performance.

With the ammo you could get away with stock mount and possible even the stock jacket.

Stock motor will run hot, it's undersized for the hull. You can run it that way until winter hits and then start do a re-build.

That will certainly work.........ESC will be nice and cool. The stock motor is a semi-amp hog and will run hot due to the high kv. The Ammo i posted above will fit in the stock mount with the stock jacket as Diesel pointed out, will run much cooler and can swing a bigger prop. Its a perfect 6s motor, and like we said, will slide right into the mount and jacket..........plus you already have the beefy 180a ESC to run 6s.

Yes, 540XL is too small. May be a Leopard 4074 1400kV or Feigao 580 9L.
