I would go with rx pack - the BECs at the amperage/voltage we run seem to be the weak link.

That set-up is similar to a reasonable heat race set-up. Should not have any problems. A X450/3 is also a common P-mono prop. Just make sure you have decent batteries. That set-up with 447 or 450 will pull around 200A, so look for a minimum of 30C and 10000mah total capacity.

If you think this set up will pull up to 200 Amp should the Aquastar 240 ESC be good enough for the set up? Any concerns on peak amp draw this ESC will not handle?

Is there something you can see in this set up that may burn my motor and take ESC with it?
                Thanks

you will be fine if you use good batteries, and good connectors and start with a 447/3. You must also set the timing to a low value 0-5 degrees as mnetioned above. Adding the Etti cap bank has helped the longevity of mine signifigantly.

Your esc should handle. I run my Rico with that motor with a x450 with a t180 on turnigy 4s2p 4000 40-50c.

That is the same as my "P" Mono race setup - 447/3 prop
It will average about 140 AMP's when trimmed right.

If you want it to fail let Ray drive it.

People from BC should never have been given internet access.....

Whats frustrating Robert is that this set up ran well all last year and then destroyed itself this year halfway through the season........motor and controller were both fried.......both were replaced and on the first run it destroyed itself again,,,both motor and controller FUBAR'd again!!!

And Larry, you are right, Ray would have killed it as well , but with his love of ultra cheap Chinese components, the total failure would have cost about 10 bucks!!!!
