    Genesis cat. questions/comments

I just bought a new Genesis cat with the 105amp esc and a 2075kv motor. Ill either be running 4s (2,2s packs)and/or 5s pack(1,2c pack&1,3s pack. Anyone know any info on this boat, like lipo esc rating, flex shaft strenth, props? cant wait for it to arive!!!

Seems a lot of people are going with the seaking 180amp esc and different motors. I got mine with upgraded flexshaft from the seller so it's just a case of undoing the coupler on the motor and pulling the shaft out to grease it. I have also upgraded to the seaking 180amp but still running the standard motor at the mo. The stock esc is worthless imo.

That would be why then, the yellow one that comes with the HK one and others is pants. I went for the one with the upgraded hardware cos I wanted to run the seaking 180amp esc.

The stock setup is very light, you must upgade speel controller and motor, 6S setup is ok for good perfs

              Motor : LEOPARD 4060/1500KV 4-Poles Inrunner

              ESC : Seaking-180A V ersion 2.0

Will that motor be a better choice than a Leopard 4074 1400kv.

hahaha when James described the esc as pants i had to check his profile to see if he is British.
Haven't heard the term in a while.
                      I'm also from the motherland.

my guess is that you need to swap the rod from the servo to the rudder to a 4-40. that made all the difference on mine.
