    Bondo

Is bondo good for repairs on these fiberglass boats? Or is resin and chopped up fiberglass better... or just resin for small cracks..

Just on surface cracks for the bondo...cosmetic. I know on bigger cracks and breaks you'd want resin and glass..

I would say gelcoat for surface cracks. It also may be benificial to reinforce the area behind where it is cracking so it doesnt flex so much in the future.

I read in an old rcboat mag to use thin ca for the crack so it seeps in to keep it from cracking more then just bondo over it and touchup paint it...That was in a magazine!!!!

Ive had great luck with a gelcoat repair kit from a marine store. Now I just buy white gelcoat repair paist. works great for cosmetics as well as smashed in noses!

bondo gets hot when it cures and can warp fiberglass from the heat. also fast curing epoxies do the same thing. i would stay away from them
