Just got my first cat, a genesis it came with a 8xl, hydra 120 what would be a good prop to start with running on 4s?

That's a higher kv motor in a big hull. I would start small. CF40 maybe a CF42 check the temps and take it from their. I don't think your going to be able to get to big with the props on a 8xl. I had a 580 7L in my genesis. I hit low 50s with it but it was happy at high 40s with a cf45. I switched to a m445 and it ran like crap, prop walk and just keep flipping over 50. M445 is a wicked prop i like it. I like to start with cf props though for testing. I have from cf40 up to cf48 and its cheap to get a wide range of dia. JMHO
