Reading the RCU Master Hull Roster??

Hi Guys... I'm trying to understand how to read the master hull roster, in terms of the dimensions.

I'm looking, specifically, at the 8806 hull. I have a 1/10th scale 1996 Miss DeWalt, and was trying to see what other liveries I could make this into without having to change the hull itself (just with paint and decals).

According to the roster, the length changed three times, but I'm unclear as to how to interpret WHEN it changed? The last change appears next to the 94,98 PowerBall/Miss Madison on the list, but does that mean it's effective from that point down?

Also, the notes on pickle-fork depth changes... Are those related to any specific line in the list, or do I just go from the dates listed in the notes?

If any of you scale guys can help me understand more clearly, I'd appreciate it.

    Thanks,

I am under the impression that specifics are not really that important (except to the builder) I want a U-50 spirit of the navy, and I was told that a U-787 boeing will be just fine in 1/8 scale. They have completely diff reg #'s

Not sure but my guess is the older versions of the hull didn't have enclosed cockpits so that is why the pickelfork dimension changed

Someone on International Waters gave me this very nice answer:

        8806 – 1995-96 DeWALT

1990-91) The hull length was changed in from 29-8 to 30-10 when shoes were added, Picklefork depth was increased from 112" to 126". Both of these were done when the boat was "turbinized" at the Bud shop in Tukwila by the combined Bud and Madison teams

1993) Hull length was shortened to 30-9, picklefork to 125" when the sponsons were radiused

1996) Picklefork depth was decreased to 110" to increase the hull's lift- (1996 DeWALT)

2004) The cockpit nose was shortened, a spar added and the canard moved forward and made fully adjustable instead of flaps.

Now, the available boats you can do are:
        • 1996-7 DeWalt
        • 1998 Powerball/Miss Madison
        • 1999 Miss Madison(white hull, brown and yellow lettering in the 1978 style)
        • 2000 Miss Madison(yellow hull, brown lettering)
        • 2000-3 Oh Boy! Oberto

As to who drove when, here's a partial list from the Madison website:
        • Mike Hanson 1988-98
        • Todd Yarling 1999
        • Charley Wiggins 2000
        • Nate Brown 2000
        • Steve David 2000-present

The more I think about it, the more I may just leave it as the DeWALT. If DeWALT has a problem with that, then they'll have to come formally tell me so.

Of course... the 2000 Oberto is one of my favs as well!
