Last week I took the boat to the lake again after a period of storage of about 3 months.
Here is my problem:
When I plugged the battery for the first time, the battery plastic cover/shrink wrap started to melt at bottom of the battery pack and I could see some smoke. I immediately uplugged the battery.
After about 10 minutes I decided to plug another set of batteries. I could not hear the ESC arming and nothing happen when I press the throttle. However The servo for the rudder works fine and turn in both directing when I steer.
I have the impression something might have gone wrong in the ESC, may be a short circuit.....
Does the issue sound familiar to anybody? Can the ESC be repaired? I am reasonably good at soldering......
I emailed Aquacraft support and they said that the ESC probably went bad....

Thanks
JC
