    Genesis Setup?

Will this setup work in a Genesis?
How much speed and run time can I expect to get?
What propeller do you recommend to try?

Motor: Turnigy T600 Brushless Outrunner for 600 Heli (1400kv)

    ESC: Turnigy Marine 180A

    Battery: 2X Turnigy 5000mAh 3S 35C

Hope someone can help a beginner who wants to try to upgrade a Genesis

Use two 3s in series for 6s
    (on 6s 180 amps = ~4000 watts, on 3s 180 amps = ~2000 watts)

x447 prop (31k RPM) to start. Might be able to hit an x450 if temps and amp draw are good on the x447.

Hope this helps. Good luck & have fun!

Did you try this setup yet as ill be releasing a similar mystic style cat soon (laying up the moulds now)and will try a similar setup in it first before testing it with twin setups. My hull will have a 70 mm overhang unlike the genesis so standard 70 mm stingers will fit .

Hey, that makes the extended 110mm stingers I had made to fit the Genesis obsolete. You can't do that!

Sounds cool though. I'd like to know more. There's a few guys that have run the twin big outrunners and are screamin along.

.187 or strong .078 wires will do the trick. I'm in the process of revamping my .078's to handle the big 447 props. 447's are pushing the limits of the .150/4mm sized cables.

If you went with higher PM and let's say 442's, the smaller cables would hold up much better. Less impact on them.

The stingers I had made have a 3/16" shaft system and accept the .187 or .150 size cables.

Sory m8 not trying to put you out of buisness lol,i just figured after seeing most of the stingers available seem to be 70 mm id accomodate them ,ill post some pics as and when i get things sorted.
A friend just tested two of these motors but lower kv in one of my apache style hulls and it goes very well, they certainly seem good motors for the money.

They are incredible for the cost. They have more torque than needed which actually has caused problems with the drive lines in some cases.

I pushed an 4030 880kv on 12s in a 32" cat, well over 60mph. Others have stories of these pushing the 37" cats into the 60's as well.

A few have setup twins in large mono's too.

I'd say they have been proven. Haven't heard any drawbacks besides power consumption yet.
