Whats up with the 1717?

I noticed a price drop on these motors. I guess they arent selling too well. Why?they look to be good motors and im very curious about them. Has anyone got new data or video on them?

i have one on ebay with a cooling jacket with a starting bid of 160.00 and i cannot get it to sell..i cannot beleive that they are not selling..they are great motors with my experience so far with them..real torque monters

I just think there isn't a market with the car guys and that is why they don't sell. I am looking forward to trying them in my boats. Just curious who you got the jacket from, I didn't see them on OSE?

You can order them from HRC machining but OSE will get you a better price. Ask Steve to carry them unless its already in the works!

I talked to HRC about them and they said something about having a leak problem. That was a couple month's ago and since I didn't see them here on the site I thought maybe they scrapped the idea.

How many runs are on that motor?
I've thought about a Leopard 5692 but that motor could be to big in a Whip40?

I ran the 1717 in my rico mono yesterday. 5s2p, and a x648. Gobs of power, quiet, and didn't even break a sweat. 6s soon if I can find some cells. It was in the low 50's, but rpm was low too. The motor seems to be a beast!

hay rumdod. would to 1717 work in a 49" cat or would you try to 1518 1800kv?
