Esc decision for a Maus/Bandit Shovel hydro

Hi guys, finally putting the final touches on the Hydro.I put an Ammo 2300 in it and was thinking on using a brand new Turnigy 90a esc i have brand new never used/soldered on it.But im thinking this esc is "big" in size for it and that i don`t really need it.So thought on getting or trading the Turnigy towards a UL1 60a esc for which i have read excellent reviews for this size boat application.I`m gonna start with a 38mm prop and then work on to a bigger one if necessary. It will be motivated by 2-7.4-2s packs ranging from 20-40c 3000-5000mah.What are your thought on this? should i stay with the 90a esc or can i go with the UL1 60a one?...Thanks in advance for your help,...............Albert

I don't think you can do any wrong with using a higher amp esc than you need. The 90 amp also has more adjustment if you need them.

I know i`ll be alright with the 90a esc,my concern here is size and weight.Maybe i`m a perfectionist or a wanna be one....lol.I`ll dig out UL1 specs see if theres a noticeable difference in them. Thanks for your imput,...Albert
