    new aquacraft cat

I just saw this and thought I'd put some pics up. Its the new 30"aquacraft cat. I'm sure they had to put something out to go head to head against the geico boat.

Looks like a UL-1 motor in it...probably run 50mph with just good batteries and setup

Grims posted this a while back.

We got to see it run at the Nats. It ran quite well. But he said it will most likely not be out until Spring of 2011. Plenty of time for the Cat craving maniacs to save their pennies for another cat for their stable.

Those picture angles to the boat no justice. Its really much nicer in person with the same color hatch. The interior tub design layout makes for wonderful access.

I was involved in early testing of this cat and it handles great. The motor is not the UL-1 motor - a good thing. It is instead the new 1800 Kv motor from the SV27R; Steven sells this motor. Great match IMO.

This boat was in testing prior to the announcement of the Geico cat from ProBoat. Not sure who influenced who but having two is a good thing......

Jay... As I was also in the loop for the early AQ Cat, I can assure you that the ProBoat Miss Geico happened as a complete surprise to me... They just popped in one day said they wanted to develop a Cat. In the time between talking with Mike, and getting onboard with ProBoat, I had deleted all of the info that I had on the AQ version, out of respect for my friends at AQ (Mike Z. Russ, etc.), so I had to dig this one up on my own... with some general advice from you, and a few others... There were a few occasions when I WISHED I still had those drawings to reference for some ideas, believe me!

I am excited to have another boat coming online as well. I think the more the merrier and also think that this can do nothing but improve our racing conditions. Hope they get a tunnel out soon as well!

Darin is a stand up guy and I like him allot. I hope I get to race with him again some day but with a fuel/air pump in or on the boat!

We knew full well going into this project that we were not the first to market with a brushless cat.. Proboat had that covered with the BlackJack..

                      OK.. that’s cool..

We set our sights to design and build the best (the customer will have to ultimately decide that for us).. so.. on started the ****** ****.. Yep the number of letters in the name for what its worth.

The design layout was done in Acad and formers brought into Solid works (the two programs I use).

There is WAY more to the story then that.. but…

AND im not kidding when I say, It will so be time to ROCK THE POND!

I wish I had those programs, and knew fully how to use them! This drawing all this stuff up by hand seems so antiquated!! Makes revisions a little more difficult too!!

As for the air/fuel deal... I'm in! Only, you'll need to bring something with actual GAS in it!

Can't wait to see all these new boats hit the market/water! Nothing but good things for the hobby!!
