It's a real PITA! I have a dremel 4" saw with a carbide blade so the basic shape was not much trouble. But to drill holes and cut outs for servos is another story. I went through 4 drill bits and half a dozen scroll saw blades to drill four holes and do the cut out for the servo in my Gen 2 Skunk Cat.

P.S. I used a 1" belt sander to round the corners.

I almost forgot about the fibers that itch much worse than fiberglass.

This sounds like a lot of work to make just some small parts I wanted. I was gonna get the dremel in hopes that I could just cut it, haha. Thanks for the info! I'll look into either making them myself or asking someone else to

I'm currently working with 3mm thick CF board and I cut it on my table saw using a regular wood blade. The cuts were as smooth as if a laser cut them.

Does the blade have carbide tips? My 4" saw does and it was no problem but HSS will not hold up.

Yes, its a 10" blade and I do believe it has carbide tips. It cut like a hot knife through butter.

jigsaw and a blade for cutting ceramic tiles ( like bathroomtiles ), that works fine.

Gerwin has the ticket! I have used my wet tile saw with a diamond bade with great results. The water keeps the dust down as well. On a tile saw like mine intricate shapes are out but great for battery trays!
