I called horizon today. After being on hold for an hour i got some one on the phone.I told them my hatch fell off during running. He said that they are backodred till december. So he felt that was too long and then he went to go check after a minute he comes back and says he has one.YES!!!!!!!!.Not only do they have one they are shipping it to me for free!!!!!!.

Did you use tape to seal it? Pretty amazing they did it, if it were my company I wouldn't replace things due to operator error.

A small piece of swimming pool noodle foam glued to the inside of the hatch! Glue it with silicone rubber or shoe goo. WHAT boat are you talking about?

We get this all the time in the airplane forums, Douggie. People rave over our customer support.

And we often take care of end-user errors like that, too. Sometimes I think we're too nice :)

Yup... I don't know why they don't come from the factory with some kind of floatation on the hatch... (hmmmm... maybe they will start coming that way in the future.... )

Funny story... When I was testing the first production sample of the Geico, I was filming it while letting my total RC newbie buddy drive it (wanted to see how it behaved in the hands of a total novice) and I had him gun it past the dock...

Boat caught a wave, took a bad hop, and instantly did a rolling flip, tearing BOTH hatches off... the outter hatch went straight to the bottom! I'll have to see if I can find and post that video. It was taken with my cell phone, so it's not that great, but his reaction is very funny "Oh, NO-NO-NO, Bad, Bad, BAD!" Hahahaha... cracked me up!

I always use a piece of pool noodle now, stuck on with Shoe-Goo, as Sailr describes here. Good advice!!
