    Works out fine for us.

She doesn't say much, generally it is ok especially if I can involve the kids.

I work, she retired when she was 31.
she has a nice home and a family
It keeps me from buying more machine guns and taking out the hungry belt feds, feeding them can get real pricey real quick! This is still cheap compared to ammo and it last A LOT longer!

I behave and we have a good life, not much to complain about.

Mine supports it and has for years. All types of RC. The big problem I see is we are not in an "Accepted" hobby. I have always said I could very easy spend alot more be serious about hunting or fishing. I have several friends who spend more in 1 year hunting than I spend in a couple in RC. I have stated this several times when asked by co-workers and friends "How much did that cost" when explained if it was one of the accepted hobbies it wouldn't be an issue. The usual response is "yea I guess you have a point" You also can use the old standby statement I could be out drinking and running around. My wife even poses from time to time with my toys. Guess I need to post some of them LOL.

My wife appreiates the boats and the technology in them, It's just not "her thing." Neither is my touring scooter for that part. I'll bring something into the house to show her and she'll make the appropriate congratulatory noises, then go back to what she really loves, selling healthy chocolate.

My wife doesnt mind too much. When I get a boat I tell her the same thing she tells me when she goes shopping. "Guess how much money I saved on this" LOL
            Many issues!!!

my wife jokes and calls it my 'geek hobby'... she doesn t seem to mind it much, she thinks it s expensive but when it boils down - doing everything at a decent level is fairly expensive... i ve only been into this stuff for about 4 years and have 3 boats on the burner and a slash vxl... can t see myself with any more... plus, i m probabally like most of you fellas - i have a number of hobbies that ALL are spendy... god, just the total of our bikes would send many folks into cardiac arrest...

You guys are all lucky. My wife has horses (plural), so not only do we have one expensive hobby we have two! Needless to say we have an understanding about spending money on hobbies.

Her favorite line: "if you buy another boat, then I get another horse". I agreed, so now I hide all the new boats or I claim I am just fixing them for other people. She plays along but knows it ain't so.

Lucklily my wife is a keeper, so we both get to do our hobbies within limits.

She tells me Im a dork. I tell her I could be at a bar drinking or a whole pletora of other bad things. However I choose to do something I find fun, exciting, mechanical and takes some degree of skill.

She also gets mad at the money I spend. Its true, I could do better things with my limited funds. However I need something to do to occupy my time. We all need to have a hobby. Its only healthy.

Her biggest complaint is the continuous messes on the dining room table and the piles of tools I use and containers of parts... lol

However my boats cost less per year than her cigarettes and wine does. Plus I make 6x's what she makes and I pay all the bills. So Im entitled to my toys.

                                ...LOLOLo

Nice subject..t..guess i´m a lucky man...I´m only 29 years old, so i don´t have a wife...but a girlfriend..it´s a little "bit" different...First she doesn´t even know how much i spend for month int the hobby...But since i´m a speed addicted....and like JMScard, mine records the boats in the water with the camera, she likes to come with me to the anual meetings here in Portugal, and prefers doing that, then being behind the small back seat of the MV agusta F4....or when i try her to learn how to drive a 125cc gear shift kart around the track....I guess i will never going to marry.....

                                Regards to all of you...

P.S....Between the women you love and the hobby...i go for the first one....
