Will do !!!! Can't beat $270.00 for the boat, radio, and running gear. I will probably gut the whole boat and run some better gear.

Don't know why everyone is slamming G-freak. They openly say that they order boats and parts from Chinese wholesalers. I've bought from them. They buy Chinese wholesale RTR boats, take out the basic piece of crap parts that come in them, and customize them. People rip them as if they claim to be fabricating and painting hulls and making their own esc's and motors.

I wouldn't. Have you looked up an etamiya boat? Here's a comparison - For example:
etamiya bud select cat - $271 (+) over $100 shipping. So you're at $371+. Then buy say a hydra 120 esc - $159. Then buy a new motor, 56mm leopard - $149. Then buy 2 5000mah 11.1v 3s lipos - say $75 each. So your total for your hopped up boat is $829. That is with the good ol AM radio
That would compare to the bud select catamaran I bought from G-freak. When you buy the hull AND hop up esc's, motors, they give you a discount. I paid $690 total for that boat, a replacement 150amp esc, a replacement motor the size of a Red Bull can, and two lipo batteries. And a 2.4 ghz radio system. They test run it and send you a video of it. And mine does 60 mph. I'm not a G-freak fanboy, but I've looked at both options and glad I bought something from G-freak. Trying asking questions, or getting follow ups from a chines site after you buy...

Not you in particular. There's a lot of posts ripping them. There is one thing I don't get, its the higher price on the motors. That one puzzles me.

If you only want the basic stuff you're right to just get the etamiya. The cats will go about 30-35 mph. I've seen those and stock components don't last. I have the Bud select and I love it, but the hull is the only original part.

If so what was your experience like? Thanks.
Wouldn't touch it. I tried. I'm dying for that Vantex Aqua-Mania 52 inch cat. That site's a joke. You have to order the boat, then shipping is paid COD. But you have no idea how much until it comes. I researched it and its $200 for a 52 inch boat. You basically don't know the shipping until after you place an order. Proceed with caution.

The Venom King of Shaves is true to scale (length and width). But I'm a stickler. I've seen the Vantex P1 and its very bulky looking. The hatch is too big, hull is much wider compared to length than the real offshore boat. With the shipping, it will be more than the Venom boat. The Venom P1 is only $349. The Vantex from Chinese sites or from etamiya will be $284 plus over $100 shipping.

I have the same problem with G-Freak I have with Venom (although venom is NOT as bad). Their mark up is OUT OF CONTROL. Prime example look at the differece in leopard motors.

                      OSE $89.99
                      Himodel $87.41
G-Freak $179.90, please explain to me almost a $100.00 mark up on the exact same motors? That's why they get slammed and will never be taking as serious rc folks. Numbers don't lie and their prices look like money hungry scammers to me. For more on how much of a joke they are please read

Here's more info on a radio:

                      Hobbypartz $59.95
                      G-Freak $139.99, $80 mark up.

Did I make my point of do you want me to keep going?

First that 56mm motor would not go in that 34" cat is completly wrong so change that $149 to a $89 for a 4074 leopard, get some 3s 5000 zippy batts from HK for $30 ea so change that $150 you have listed to $60, drop the hydro 120 and run a turnigy marine for $70 and a tower hobbies/tatic radio for $79.99.

$371+89+60+70+80=$670 and I trust the parts I listed esc, motor, radio a lot more than I trust the g-freak stuff.

And after you sell the motor, radio & esc that comes with the boat like everyone does any way that's more money off. I sold that same motor for I think $50 a month or so ago and the same esc for like $25 so that's $75 bucks off So make that $670 more like $595.00

Do you have video of yours? I am in no way trying to be an ass, just would like to see G-Freaks improvement on older video claims.

...they are freaks and I do not not mind saying so. Nice to see someone plugging them...even though they do not deserve it. We have seen wildly over stated stuff from them. I tend to think they have very little experience in the rc boat area...yet big mouths. I tell any of my customers to stay away from the freaks and let's build them a real boat they can go out and rip and it will hold together and enjoy for a long time.

                                Direct quote from G-Fake:

"PLEASE BE AWARE OUR PRICES INCLUDE LEOPARD BRAND COOLING JACKET AND BUILD COST FOR INSTALL IN YOUR HULL...SINCE WE FOCUS ON BUILDS....SOO DONT CRY ABOUT OUR PRICES ....JUST EMAIL US FOR A LOWER ONE.....

NOW I see why its so expensive because it comes with a jacket and they put it in the motor mount and install the 2 screws for you. Now the $100 mark up makes perfect sense
