good to hear brushless55, im thinking about orderind one

for the price I could get the Hydro and Cat from hobbycity cheaper than just getting the cat from Venom and feel better about the deal

i call them clone because the motors and esc are different and venom announced them first so in my eyes even if hull and hardware are the same they are clones. all the same i like the price and cant wait to get a cat and put my power in it

They are not clones, the boats are a Dragon Hobby hull. Dragon Hobby have been around long before Venom where selling boats.

Some of the hulls are Delta force hulls, such as the Arpro (DF twin jet) Red Evo (DF vortex) etc. Dragon also have a new 600mm mono out with a flood chamber that runs a high Kv motor designed to run on a 7.4v lipo.

All venom do is purchase & order boats to their livery & electronic specifications, & as mentioned here already they slap a lable on them.

Glad to see they added a second set screw to the coupler.

Looks like a nylon break away screw added to the rudder could help in case of turtle strike...

I'm still confused at their non-water cooled motor mount... but the outrunners do typically handle quite a bit of heat...

I'm assuming it's setup for 4s?

Motor mount

So, what is the diameter of the venom motor where it clamps in? Will another standard size motor clamp in its place, that is the question. maybe it is 36mm? somebody with calipers measure theres when they get a chance please.

I actually like the mount design, gives me ideas! I wonder if they will sell just the mount or where I could get one like it.
