I'm running something vey close, Turnigy 180 and the castle/neu 1515 1Y, in a rigger and I left the timing at the default (15 deg). Seems fine as is. Very little heat. Havent dialed in the hull 100% but its alright for now. YMMV but its alright in my setup.

I ran the same esc and motor at 15 deg. and it works great. Little heat, good performance.

4S is the number of cells in series. The LVC should be set between 3.2 and 3.4 volts. Try 3.4 volts first - if the boat cuts out then reduce to 3.2 volts.
