    Trim tabs.

What is the thought on trim tabs?? Are they a necessity or a bit of help to a struggling hull? From what I have read, about setting up FE boats vs looking at most race and higher end RTR boats, it is in conflict. It is my belief that a properly set up hull won't require the tabs, is this true or one of those ongoing debates?

I think that you have to take each hull at face value, my triton did not need them till I was regulary runing high 40's into the low to mid 50's and then they became a must!! no matter what I tried, in the end the tabs worked the best.

I with the above statement. But try not to use them at first.

I have had the same experience with my Triton. In the low 40's the tabs didn't seem necessary, but at near or above 50 they seem all but indispensable.
