    Eagle tree systems

Im not too familiar with the eagle tree systems, but Im looking for something to monitor/record speed without having to stick my GPS in my boats, as well as log things like current draw.
What system are people using? On their site it says their waterspeed pitot tube reads speed accurately up to 50mph...Im looking for something that will record at higher speeds.
    Any suggestions?

There is a gps module that you can get as an add on to the Eagle tree recorder and it works great and is very small. I use that with a LED read out and the temp wires. With that you can get Amps, Volts, Speed, and temps of two different items right after your run and then dump the data to your PC later for more fun.

      You want:
      http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...rod=etr-GPS-v4 (gps speed)
http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...PRV3-LEADS-150 ( will do a bit more than 150amps, it does volts, total mah used)
http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...tr-power-panel (will allow you to see whatever you want to see (like max amps, max speed, volts, mah used etc..) This let's you to see how you did right away. Later you can dump it down to you PC.
      http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...=etr-temp-loop (Temp Sensor)

There are some other sensors as well.... The logger will handle three temp sensers, one rpm, one throttle, LCD screen, usb connection(for your pc), one gps.

This is really cool and it works great.

This guy gives you lot's of data real time while you are going. I use it quite a bit so I don't have to guess about the batteries condition while I am running. Only thing it can't do is speed.

Last, but not least is this:
          http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...?prod=dh-wu100

Very good for what it is, but no speed. I have used all of these items at one time or another...

Did you get the 200amp model? I am wondering about whether it is better to get an ICE 200 vs a Castle Hyra 240. Are you adding water cooling to it?

I've got the 100 version. I'm trying to decide right now whether I wanna buy the 200 or not. No water cooling.

Maybe a year and some change I'd guess. What I mean is they've said they were working on the hydra ice since the normal ice came out.

I've been looking at that for a while but I just don't want a mess of wires in my boats that's why I got the castle esc. I would like to have the logger but i'd probably end up having somebody else watch it for me so I can drive the boat instead of looking at the screen.
