    Brass tube

Hello, looking for a little help. I am replaceing the brass tube in a SV. The bushing closest to the prop was stuck and worped and I ended up destroying the whole brass tube.

I have all the parts except the teflon tube insert. I ordered one off a parts list for the miss vagas, its the same diamiter as the SV, hope it will work. My question is how much of the teflon sleeve needs to be in the brass tube? Does it run the entire legnth or all the way to the bushing or just up near the bend twards the motor end. Thanks Joey

run about 1/2" from the motor to just outside the transom.
