IMO for a 36" cat a 5682 is just more than enough, or a twin drive using two 4074s would be better in torque roll control.

a 36" cat is a bit beyond me, not sure on motor size the 5692 would certanly do the job but not sure if its to big. the 1340 kv would be great on 6s.
anyone one else got suggestions ???

The 2 4074 would be nice if you want a twin.

I think the leopard motors are a good choice. I know the neu's are the best, but the larger ones get a little pricey for me.

the 5692 seems a rather large can but kv suggests a 6s motor,do you think its to big for a 36" hull ?

Its perfect for that size cat. Thats my next build. A 5692 1340kv in a SprintCat. Close enough for sport running. On 6S its almost in the best RPM range to swing most props. Probably even the ridiculous sizes too!

i thought the 5692 1340kv would be spot on but wasnt 100% sure.

I'm with ya Ozz. My gut tells me its too much motor as well. But I got a feeling on this one to err on the side of too much. One thing is for sure. Its happening!

yea its such a big can,but when looking at the kv of 1340 it seems to me a perfect 6s motor. maybe just the thing for heavier boats or like youu say swing some big props

i think my cat is going to be a little heavy i haven't weight it yet but it feels 3.5 pounds just the hull is that considered lite or heavy for this size and i want to go the 60+mph .
