I also like long distance (abt 12 cm) in my 35" mono
Furthermore I've seen some stepped hulls (German builts) have only the tube coming out and seen another one the Death Star from Team Lindenau with similar arrangement like yours but only the tube coming out at about 9 cm prop distance.
