You may need to work on your set up.
There are three at the club that are rippin and snortin with UL-1 motors, and modded 4255s.

I run a Hydro&Marine F-1 Skater with a UL-1 motor and ESC, and it good boat. It's easy to drive and very stable. Its fast too.

Doug we had a great time running with you guys in Atlanta. Cant wait to see yall at the SOEGA race.

I am currently running a VS-1, OS leg, modified grim 42X55, UL-1 power (speedo and motor) and it will run with the best of them. Mine runs 42-45 mph all day long. It's super stable and a ton of fun to drive.

I would also take a look at the TS3 that will be released soon by AquaCraft. I raced the Prototype version at last years nationals with the same set up as above, only I was running a modified M445. It's a little longer than the VS-1 so should handle rougher water (as long as it's properly set up). I will be looking at getting one this fall for a winter build.

                Later,
                Mike

                    I have Trini's VS 1 in the basement and she's a runner.
