Impulse buy, now what to plan for it

I'm a sucker for what I perceive to be good deals...was browsing eBay tonight and came across a new Aeromarine Cyclone hull. I submitted a best offer and the seller accepted.

Now I have to figure out hardware and electronics. I figure this will be a lengthy build process since it'll be, by far, my most expensive FE. I'm thinking 10S2P on a Swordfish 240HV and either a Little Screamers motor or Neu 2215/2Y. Anyone else have one of these hulls?

Not bad a deal i must say!!!,,,,but definately its gonna take some money if youwant to break speed records. But if Sport running around and 40-45mph is good enough for you, then cheaper to build....just my 02cents,....Al

Got the hull in today...wasn't packed as well as it should have been.

It's pretty easily fixable, just a pain in the butt that I have to fix it. I e-mailed the seller and he said to call USPS that it was packed the same way it was sent to him. So, I figure I'll just end up not worrying about it and patch it up when I'm ready to build it up.

On another note...wow at the internal structure in the boat. It has awesome stock rails installed and is pristine and untouched inside. Aside from the sponson damage, which is cosmetic only, I'm still pretty happy with my purchase, especially for $150 shipped.

Ouch!!!!.. i also know what it is to receive a damaged hull,so i feel your pain.If it was insured tell the seller to start a complaint with USPS.They are very reasonable and pay the claim fast.If i remember well the sender(insurance buyer) is the one that needs to start the claim, you just need to send him damage pics. They even covered the shipping cost in my claim.I got my check like in a week or so.So free hull and an easy fix for me....
This hulls are built like tanks,as they are built for gas, nitro power etc.Thats why they are a little heavier than a FE hull.So are you gonna keep it? if i were you i`ll keep it and do a slow build, taking your time to do so.......Good luck,...Al

Did some more checking tonight only to find out that the package was not insured by the seller. I have sent the seller another e-mail through eBay. I'm giving him a day to respond to the e-mail. If I get no response or a response I dislike, I'm filing a Paypal claim.
