    Delta force help..

Hi guys, Ive got a bit of a problem.., I have upgraded from my BJ26..which I was pretty happy with. 94.5klm on the gps. I have grabbed a Delta Force 45 (35.5 inch) hull and got her painted metalic black -pearl blue. I have already fried a Fiegao 580l 1326kv. I run 6s 5000mah thunder power , 5550 mah polyquest and have just got a 6000mah nano tech lipo, the boat weighs 1950g without battery, motor or ESC. Im thinking of a Castle 1717 1580kv with a etti 150 or a Hydra 240. Also thought of a 1521 NEU but Im keen for run time as well as speed.. What would you guys recommend?? Any help would be appreciated ,, including prop size ect.. Thanks in advance.

Na it is 4s, I have been thinking of a 6s mono running a 1527 1Y with a 200 amp ice controller and a prop around x455/3 or there about. Heaps of torque , probably happily spin a bigger prop than that with out being a total amp hog, there is the 1521 1y but would need smaller props same as the 1717. I think you would so see the limitations of a 580L, when they first came out I thought they were good but 4 or 5 runs later I found out why they are so cheap

are you running a 2p lipo configuration? I'd go with a 1527 neu. The 1y would be great on 6s2p. With 6s, i'd opt for a hv controller as well. I've been having good luck with the updated swordfish hv 240 i got here at OSE. I use it in a 40 inch delta force with a neu 2215 on 9s2p.

Cheers Rumdog. I have two 3s 5000 mah Thunderpower 40-80 to make 6s, A Polyquest 5550mah that is two 3s heatshunk together and also a Turnigy 6s 6000mah Nano Tech. Recon Ill go for the sword fish, people seem to be happy with them. Whats the run time like on yours?? different set up I know..

My runtime is REALLY prop dependant. Anywhere from 2.5 minutes to 10 minutes. With the low kv motor I use on high voltage, if I run a x450-452 I get great runtimes. Prop up, and the speed increase is phenominal, but runtime will dratically decrease. Temps are usually about the same with either type of setup, since with longer runs, the heat accumulates. Star Around a x450 or 452 with that motor on 6s.
