Miss Vegas as a LSH Hull

Looking at getting a LSH hull but most of the used ones out are just too small IMHO
Looking for something close to 30 inches and was wondering about the Vegas Hulls converted to FE. Who has converted and run them with todays spec power and lipos?
How did it Handel it and how does it work for a LSH Hull?

Hi Jim. There are a ton of us out there that have converted these. Do a search on "Miss Vegas FE". Unfortunately most are far from spec. The Vegas hulls are very unaggressive and require a lot of power to push through the water. Very heavy. BUT, they are very stable IMO. You won't be upside down as much!

The new version Miss Vegas Deuce has more AOA built into sponsons. This will make it run more loose and be faster. Perfect for LSH ...IMO.

        Jim,
I was considering this one before I got the BBY Zephyer27
        31" long

I just asked about the Vegas as there aren't any glass shovel/roundnose hydros out there which is what I would prefer

I hear you Jim. I had a hard time finding glass shovels too. Eighter too small or too expensive.

Randy also makes a 30" sport hydro. I think there are pics of it somewhere on the forum. BBY 30" Hydro.

I ran my vegas in spec heat racing and it was a dog. With BJ26 motor and UL-1 motor. Speeds were about the same using 45mm and 42mm props. In my opinion it would need a good 6S1P setup. Perhaps a Feigao with proper kv would be ok. Other than that it handles great and turning is ok with stock fin.

No doubt. This boat craves more power. I'm running a Neu 1515 1Y and it is an absolute bullet at over 60mph! Stable running.

Jim, not to many shovels out there that are good with the brushless power yet, and nothing that is close to scale, I have built a couple in the 32 inch range from Finlay plans. They have worked well.
