    Stuffing tube question

Most of us on here have the motor tilted with the output shaft side down with a slight bend in the stuffing tube out to the prop. Others I have seen with the motor parallel with the floor of the boat and the stuffing tube has 2 bends instead of one. Is one way better than the other? Fine design I see uses the "2" bend alot.

Less bends= Less Friction. Better IMO
    ? WHAT RULES?

I agree but I run wire drives

Many folks believe that the S bend tubes remove vibration from cables. May have even proven it.

this has come up before, there is a lot who say a S is better, less harmonic distortion.plus you have two smaller contact points
have tried it my self didnt find any noticeable difference, but if you need to use a S bend it wont hurt any thing

Run a wire, and if set up well there is NO contact between shaft and stuff tube.

To qualify that statement all of my wires have some, but very little, contact.
I am working on getting some of them friction free.
          See it....find the photos.....sketch it it....build it........with wood
