    Genesis cat

Does anyone know how to grease the flex shaft on a genesis cat it doesn't come out like a normal flex shaft. And the place I bought it said not to grease it but in stead to just spray Teflon spray down the shaft that's it Really will this work as good ?

Sounds alot easier just don't want to hurt it

    Thanks

Both the Genesis & the Apparition have two piece shafts and you have to take the shaft out from the motor side.

    Hope this helps.

Listening to advice like that will ensure one thing. You will continue coming thru their doors spending money. All drive shafts need to be removed, dried out and relubed. Doesnt matter if its a solid, wire or multi strand flex. Our media is water. Drives are normaly steel. It rusts. If you get in the habit of removing your drive line after each outing you will have inspected it prior to the next outing, reduced corrosion, ensured it is ready for the water.

Thats why i bought mine from ebay, the flex and driveshaft are all in one (upgraded octura) you simply move the rudder out the way, undo the coupler and it pulls out, all in all a 5 min job.
