Too bad Jim was the only one there with a great camera... No one was able to get any shots of JIM'S first outting with his absolutely BEAUTIFUL 1/10th Scale Miss Bardahl!!
He was running a BJ26 motor and a ProBoat 60A ESC () and I believe an X447R prop and everything worked GREAT! Temps were all very good and the boat performed wonderfully. Just needs a little bigger turn fin, and to get the CG dialed in. Boat looks absolutely wonderful on the water.
Also, give your condolences to Greg Schweers... His rocket fast Cobra OPC tunnel took a bad hop at full throttle, dove into the lake, and never surfaced again. We tried a couple of lame attempts to dredge it up, to no avail. I'm sure it'll pop up sooner or later, but what a bummer to see it just disappear like that.
I think I have some video from the day, but I have to review to see what all I have. I had Jim work the camera for one of the P-Limited Hydro races, which should be fun to watch.Darin E. Jordan - Renton, WA

Kind of hard to get pictures of it running maybe next time I run I will have Darin drive it a heat so I can get some pictures of it running. It is the very first boat I build 10 years ago. It ran one year and has been on the shelf ever since as it was just too heavy. I reworked it a bit and with he lipos and brushless gear it weighs in at 7 pounds ready to run. Still a little heavy ready but it works.
Hey Jim,
How 'bout posting a still shot of your Miss Bardahl? I love that boat...

It was the very first boat I built 10 years ago. It is old and the clear coat has yellowed. It ran one year then has sat on the shelf since. Maybe next time I run I can get Darin to drive it so I can take some pictures of it running. I will take some pictures of it on it's stand today and post them.

I talked to Dan at Cobra today, and ordered a new boat, ordered a new OS outdrive and motor from Tower, ordered a couple more battery packs. For now, I'll just put my VS1 back together for the next race. So, I should be ready for the next race.Comment

Very nice. You are the main reason I'm going to do a shovel nosed hydro. I should have it tomorrow and will be doing it in Hawaii Kai III scheme. If it turns out half as nice as your I'll be happy. If all of your wishes are granted, many of your dreams will be destroyed!Comment

The Stiletto is getting dialed in well. The work I did to the lower unit (see my race-prep thread) REALLY worked well!! The driveline has almost no drag at all, and lubing it is a brease. Handling is really getting dialed. Have some more tinkering to do, but I think it's ripping along just fine, and I'm learning to drive it! Just wish the damn things were on the shelves so you guys could get yours and enjoy these THIS summer! Hopefully soon...Darin E. Jordan - Renton, WA
