    Anyone waterproof an eagle tree?

So, since my boats are generally run open, I was wondering if anyone has waterproofed and eagle tree unit with corrosion X or other? Most of my boats can be taped up for running test with the eagle tree, but the boys cracker boxes really can't be due to how the hatch is attached. If not, I may just bag it for this test run.

I swear by SRAYON #S00600 clear insulating varnish...I even cut the clear shrink wrap off the CC240 controllers and spray multiple coats (the shrink wrap hold condensation in)....spray on wet, let drip into hard to get areas..

hmm, no one else? Was wondering about this.

Lots of contact pins on the data logger, so not sure how a varnish would work and it would be difficult to mask them.

I will be doing this same project.

I think the varnish might work out. Just mask off all the pins @ the black plastic thing. A big wrap of masking tape and pinch the ends.

The logger I got was a solid black plastic where all the pins come thru.

I put all of mine in a small electronic box fom Radio Shack. I never open it up because the PC connector is attatched to it so it never leaves the sealed box. I just plug into it after a run. It stays sealed even under water with no problem.
