    Painting Hardware?

Outside of the box question. But has anyone attempted to paint their hardware? I have done chroming, polishing and anodizing in the past. Wondering if paint would hold up and stick on a properly prepared surface?

I would consider powdercoating for the project I have going on but looking to save a bit on the cost.

    Appreciate your feedback.

You can try it but don't expect it to last long. Anodizing it is the best way to go.

I primed and painted some a while ago..flat black and it has held up fine. Thin coats and allow to dry. You can also try an oven to bake it off a bit. We use to do that on our motorcycle tanks and it seemed to hold up better...even cheap enamel paints.
