Solo Video'ing rig

Quite some time ago, I bolted a bracket to a cap and put a video camera in the bracket to video myself flying a heli

Has anyone else tried this?
What designs did you come up with?

im thinking of making another one from a bicycle helmet to mount my HD video camera on

I put an aluminum piece on the bottom of my radio. That way I can attach my camera to that with the 1/4-20 standard screw. you are holding the radio with both hands anyway, so I put the boat in the water and then start recording. Point the camera at the boat and run it. Edit out all the "missing action" parts. Not perfect, but you can get some good video that way while safely driving.
