    Prices of Chinese goods going up

    This morning in the New York Times : ..." Soaring labor costs caused by worker shortage and unrest, a strenghtening Chinese currency that make exports more expensive, and inflation and rising housing costs are all threatening to sharply increase the cost of making devices like notebook computers, digital cameras and smartphones" { and FE goodies?}

    Beleiving that I am a supporter of U.S. - made goods, I did a little experiment ;

    What I'm wearing today :

    Shoes - Ocean Pacific [ OP] ; made in in China
    Socks : Made in Mexico
    Undies : Joe Boxer ; made in El Salvidor
    Jeans : Wrangler ; made in Honduras
    T-Shirt : Fruit of the Loom ; made in El Salvidor
    Hawaiian Shirt : George ; made in Bangladesh
    Watch : Pulsar ; movement made in Japan
    Me : Made in New York City, United States of America

    Oh well !!

    This is a scare tactic. The Chinese currency will increase slowly and ours, USA & Can. as well as Europe will decrease.

    This is the balancing of the masses.

            Stanfield still makes underwear in Canada. At least the did about 4 years ago, now, not sure if the East Coast factory is still running.

            Good Gitch.

                  Now that is funny. One of my best friends lives in MASS. and works as a designer for New Balance. They are, for the most part I believe not made in the U.S.A.
