The Turnigy 8ga is not bad wire. The insulation is good but it is not 100% pure silicone covering. Its some form of mixture. If you compare it to real known 100% silicone coated wire (like Deans or Wet Noodle) it does not feel the same. But I bet its melt rating is far above what any of us want to experience in anything other then a shorted condition. I have been using it since it came out over a year ago and it solders well. And the price and availability makes it very useful in builds and its very flexable for routing.
8ga would be a decent choice for your components selected. And I would also bump up the connectors to the 8mm bullets too. At least in the battery circuit. They will solder well with that wire and they have a great amperage rating. But they are hard to pull apart once connected! But hey,.......thats a good thing for conductivity.
I'm switching out all my lipo packs to 8mm bullets. Looks weird on some of the smaller packs (2S/3S/) but I like uniformity to my chargers and its the price to pay.
I dont recommend speaker wire/ amp power wire, although the oxygen free content copper makes it very tempting. The vinyl coating has a low melting level so it doesnt appeal to me. But it has been used successfully by some. To each their own. You can find some silicone battery extension / jumper cable 8ga wire on Ebay thats decent but the price is a bit high. Not what you will pay per foot for the Turnigy for sure.
Thanks for the help so would 10g be good for a 120esc set up?? out of 100 where would you put the turnigy wire and for the $ is it the best deal?? and if one was to go better what would one use?? thanks again

10ga is more then enough for a 120 amp setup providing the wire lengths are as short as possible. Thats what I run in my Fullers FX with no issues. On my bigger hulls I go with the 8ga. But thats because the speedos and batts I'm using all have 8ga wires and theres no point in downgrading a circuit. I cant do anything about the motor wires but they are the shortest length wires anyways. I would rate the Turnigy wire an 85 on a scale of 100.
OSE carries the Nessel silicone wire in 10 ga that is definately better then the Turnigy. The only reason I buy the Turnigy from HK is because I end up putting an order together for myself and a couple locals so its a big order and I end up splitting up the items with them to save on shipping.
