ok, standard issue purrsuit mono, turnagy 180esc,2075 xl brushless,30c zippy

4900 lipos 4S setup. heres my problem boat takes off then gos to half throttle why is this happening? will a 4s2p set up help? right now i am running a 4s1p set up . please help.

A guy in our club had the same issue with the ESC. He ended up having to set the LVC to 'off'. Fixed the problem.

what brand are your lipo's?
if you stop and hit the throttle again, does it do the same again and again?

I run my turnigy 180 on 4s2p. When I tried 2-2s packs in series it did the same thing(half throttle) Not sure what was happening there, I thought maybe the esc was sensing not enough amps for the motor.

that could be the LVC as 785boats stated!
