    Motor amp draw?

    Hi Guys,

    looking at an eagle tree.

Here is the largest motor I have:

Max Amperage of 78 Amps... Is it possible I might go over the 100 amps the lower Eagle Tree records?

I dont think I will have a larger motor that this ever, but suppose it may be possible.

I would love to save $30 if possible. If not, well I wont die over it I guess...

Hull? Prop? It can pull over 100 amps if the setup is improper.

Take it from a guy who demagntized a motor. Yes you can. Quite easily actually. Just put a slightly too big prop on or have the hull run too wet. Not a good practice to say the least, but I would spend the extra 30 bucks. Then at least you will know you have some room and who knows what your next boat or motor will be.
