    HELP with prop selections please??

i am now building the HPR233 that i bought from sandy and i ordered 1 set of props already but i think they are to big to start with? i ordered the
*Octura X470 (right and left) 2.76"

i am unsure if thats ok to start b/c evry one has been telling me to go with 60mm props to start and tune... but i cant find counter rotating 1/4" shaft sized 60mm props anywhere..?

and can any one tell me if these props will work on my boat?

of course left and right matching props on both sets..

    -HPR 233, twin lehner 3080 9 turn, twin schulze 40.160 esc, 12s 2p 10,000mah on each motor

im just trying to figure out where i need to be looking, bc there doesnt seem to be a whole lot of octuras that are 1/4" counter rotating..

thanks for the help guys im send my HPR to get a full custom paint job next week.. got her all tore apart right now, and just trying to make sure iv got evry thing i need so im not just waiting on props!
    thanks

The sizes are limited in 1/4" & counter rotating. What was he running for props before he sold it?

Even though those props are slightly smaller in diameter the number of blades and the pitch will put a much higher load on the motors. I would start with the 470's cut down to 65mm, detongued, and work up from there.

            ok thanks!
now when you say work up.. are you talking about staying in the same 2 blade range and same pitch and just upping the diameter?

Andy Brown is still making custom props. I have received tons of great props that match very well. He can cut them down in diam. and cup them to what specs you need. I have had them measured as best possible and they are impressively accurate. HOWEVER his prices are quite high. Just a forewarning. Egneg can also do the same great work.

Yes, I would then try the 470's detongued if temps and amps are good.

Boatman I thank you for the compliment.
