Wow. How is that for a snag in your operations... I was wondering how they were able to get these batteries loaded on to planes... I used to fly internationally a lot. How would you like to be on a plane carrying a bunch of lipo's in the hull??? eek.

They label them as hobby parts and hope for the best....

I ordered a handful 2S900 from HC, they went by SwissPost.. HK -> Zurich-> Australia. 9 days.
Au postal system now refuses to take LiPo ..
but handle incoming packages that do.
        go figure !

This is just another way that HK ignores the law. LiPos are HAZMAT items.

Seems awful funny that they have so many employees with the same last names as their customers sending gifts too. Perhaps people should reverse the charges on their cards, seeing how they just received a gift from somebody at HK of exactly what they ordered, so they don't need another one.

USA warehouse is moving ahead and will take on our entire battery range.

Within 90 days you will have access to all battery products and an increased range of planes in either DE/USA/AU warehouses.

just dont hold your breath, HK have a strange concept of time.

1 day in the real world seems to = 1 week in HK world.

Good point CHUMMER --They are claiming that the USA /DE and AU warehouse will carry the full line.

That should mean quicker times when we in the US order ours.

I was actually reading a little further on and from what I could tell they are saying that if you order EMS it goes to SG Speedpost which is exceptionally quick. They had a diagram that showed it's shipped to singapore same day. Someone mentioned that it is so quick that you don't even have time to conctact customer service if you make a mistake in your order.

When you go through the HC payment system you can nominate % of true value for customs dec, and whether the product(s) are a gift....
I choose 100% and non gift.. rather than have customs pay me another grumpy visit.

I once bought 120 McCoy plugs from US , and was stung for a undeclared marketable quantity..

You are so right Andy and i explained this in another thread not so long ago.I work at DFW airport for AA and we handle all kind of shipments.Never seen anything like this!!! until i got my lipos couple months ago from HK.Not a single sign of Hazardous Materials on the box!!!.And like you also say,it was sent to me by a ficticious long distance chinnese relative of mine living in HK with my same last name...lol....incredible.
If you guys see all the paperwork we have to go thru just to load this kind of stuff on a plane you`ll be amazed.Even the capt is handled copies so they know whats flying in the planes belly. Its a very serious matter we are talking here.If the USPS or EPA etc find out about this they can get in big trouble. We too as we won`t be able to get lipos that easy....lol,...........Albert

I really hope that small lipos get past this as I made a nice fat order last night that has a little 1300mAh lipo in there.
It also has the bits I need to get the new baby rigger on the water.
I paid for the EMS service as I do not need them to go as far as Zurich like the OR motors for my big cat. I have been waiting a while for them and now may have to wait for my new stuff.

I can only hope that the weather here sucks for the next two weeks so that I do not miss out on good FE boating weather.
Given that we are close to the middle of winter I think it may be a good time for scale boats instead of FE boats.
                        See it....find the photos.....sketch it it....build it........with wood

It seems to be business as usual between HK and Tasmania. 3 Lipos ordered on June 21 and arrived here today on June 29.

If HobbyKing is stopped from shipping, you'll see the old higher prices for LiPos from US suppliers. HobbyKing is the only reason the TP, Enerland, Neu lowered prices. Think about what you wish for.

This is the supply chain in USA

                            China - Distributor - Dealer - You
                            China - TP - Distributor - Dealer - You

Of course distributors sell under the table so always email and at least skip the 25% markup by the dealer.

                            China - HobbyKing - You

Prices will sky rocket if HK goes away

Jobs will CONTINUE TO evaporate if the likes of HK don't go away.

You can buy it cheap now. Will you have a job to buy it cheap later?
