    Urgent Question!

    I a going to the lake tomorrow, and just had one of the stupidest moments of my life. I have a Himodel 200a esc, i beleive it is the 4-8s version. And its in a DF26 copy with a fiegao 8xl. This weekend i only have my small batteries which are some 2200mAh 3s. I normally wire them in parrellel but my turnigy esc blew, so i purchased this himodel. But it just occured to me that it is 4-8s.

    So will my batteries work in a parellel configuration? Or will I have to run them in series, and will that be bad for my motor?

    Two 3S in series = 6S 1P
    with an 8XL and a 26" hull

    Equals = Trouble

      An 8xl motor rpm recommendation is between 23-30k. so at 6c, that will give you 46k plus, pretty extreme for that setup. series will be to high on rpm. and parallel will not work, too low a voltage

        I have the earlier version 3 to 7 S and ran it on 2S2P with no problems
        6S on your 8XL is not a good idea

        NO GARANTEE but this is what I would try

        Plug in a 3S and see if it will work
        If it does not nothing should happen not enough volts
        If it does work
        Just do not know what will happen when you use up some of the juice in the lipo and the voltage goes down if it will kick out before the lipo is empty ??

            2200 packs are too small to run them in a 1p setup. You should run them in parallel or these will puff too. I think you are fine with running less voltage as long as the LVC can be set correctly. If not make sure you time your runs.

            BTW an 8xl on 6s is NOT recommended. With that said check this out.
