    Question.......Neu 2215/2y

Has anyone run the Neu 2215/2y on 12s? If so what hull type, battery's, and heat issues?

    Thanks

    Neu 2215/2y

I am running a NEU 2215/2Y in a Delta Force Sniper 44 on 8S2P with a Octura X 457 and Schulze xl-40.160WK and no heat at all with that setup.I am still playing with props.

Thanks for the reply. I was really wanting some info on 12s. I have 2-2215/2y's and a couple 40/160 Schulze controllers. I'm getting a 40" Insane cat that is a proven hull on 10s, but would like to possibly build a 12s outrigger. I know not many people have experience with high voltage setups like this. Just trying to get some feedback.

I ran mine on 12s in an Insane mono using 457 and 460 prop.

Thanks Mark thats more than enough. If a 2y pushed your mono that well, it should be no sweat in a rigger. BTW is it the same motor you used in your saw video?

I thought you were the one I sold it to. In a rigger you can use a more agressive prop than I used.

No it wasn't me who bought it. I would enjoy an 80+ mph mono although. I guess a x455 would be good to start with?

                Neu 2215/2y

I called Castle Creations and I was told not to use no more than 4 cell LIpos with the NEU 2215/2Y motor.

Why would you call Castle for Neu specs.......

That motor is rated for 55 volts. I think you forgot a 1 infront of the 4
