    Traxxas "waterproof" servos???

    Steven,

Looks like you may need to add a Traxxas Q&A and product section soon...

Here's a question that would fit in there...

Has anyone tested the "waterproof"-ness of the Traxxas waterproof servos yet??

I'm thinking of using them in an application where the servos will most likely experience getting wet once in awhile, and was thinking of using a couple of the Traxxas Micros for the job? Anyone have any thoughts on this??

    Thanks,

NA. I don't like Traxxas as a company. Well maybe if they want to "sponsor" the area. The guys at Horizon will know why I say this.

AS to the topic, I've gotten them wet and they worked great after.

        Thanks,
        Darin,

I have run the waterproof servos completely under water for extended periods. Haven't had any issues, but this was with the full size waterproof servos. I have used the minis also, but had one of the two used short out on me. For a while I know the mini servos were common to have issues. Not sure if that has been resolved.

Issues with the products, or just the company? My experience with them, as a an individual not a business, has always been great.

I love their products as a consumer.

I use the Traxxas water proof servos in my hydros and they have not failed yet and i have had the hatches come loose and flood the inside of the boat, no problems.

Hahahaha... I'll have to keep that part to myself!

Actually... since Horizon Hobby sells them, I can use them...

Thanks guys... it sounds like one of these would work great for what I want to do. Going to use the Micro version, as it's just to operate a throttle on a Nitro motor...
