1200grams of thrust. I think that will move a boogie board!FighterCatRacing Team CHING BLING - Ching Bling. Brilliant, Advanced Sparkle for your hull.Comment

The rudderless, dual fan setup is very cool. I think they make a box that goes between the receiver and the ESC's for just this sort of thing, like a signal matrix to mix throttle and steering signals. Can't recall their exact description, but do recall reading about it.

Ben
Whichever fan you decide to use, make sure the ESC is capable of handling about 3 times the max amps in the specs of the unit. Because the EDF isn't moving through the air at high speed (like in a plane) the fan can't spin up to its full revs & the motor is always overloaded. The EDF's on my were rated to 23A & I had 50A reversing ESC's with them & they got pretty hot & one of them finally burnt out. Mind you there was no water cooling on them & they were under the canopy with no moving air over them.
Here's the Boogie board on a bit of a speed run. It has two fans with forward & reverse ESC's using "tank steering" on a 4 channel set.
Paul.See the danger. THEN DO IT ANYWAY!!!
