    It's all in the timing

Which I know nothing about. I basically understand the concept less = less speed/less heat and more equal more speed/more heat. After that, it gets fuzzy. Devil is in the details. So I will refer to you guys.
    Recommended setting for:
    1. UL1 Motor, just got a swordfish 120amp ESC (the orginal Aquacraft failed). What should the timing be?
    2. Tunigy 180 with a 1521 1.5D Neu. Timming?

Looking for a conservative setting for sport running not racing. You can give me both setting of course like the low to high for the motor if that makes sense?

Why don't they at least give you a recommend timing on their charts as a starting point?

Thanks in advance for the help!

Setup 1: Use mild timing advance
Setup 2: Use low timing advance

The factory UL-1 ESC has 10 degrees of advance, which works very well. Mine runs a bit faster on 15 degrees, but do not go below 10 degrees. If you can program switching frequency, use 8 kHz.

In addition to what is posted on the NeuMotors site, Steve told me personally:

      D winds : 0 - 5
      Y winds : 9 to 15
