Hi i saw thw Genesis catamaran on hobbycity and you tube is this boat any good.

Can i also run a feigao 8xl seaking 180 octura x642 on 6s lipo or not ??

8xl on 6S is not a good idea. Boat is well made. I have one. (See Avatar) Nice quality lay up.. electronics are good but not great. Heard some horror stories on the ESC. I think the motor may be ok for 4S. Its basically an 8XL. As suggested above, do a search on Genesis.. we have a few threads going on and discuss our findings.

such a big hull need a bit more power than a Feigao XL can provide!
a 580L is the minimum!

Since it comes stock with an 8XL, and is meant to run stock on 3s, but folks have run 4s(my friend here has....39mph), a 12XL on 6s would be an upgrade, a couple thousand more rpms than stock motor on 4s, and much cooler temps as well as more "torque". If you go with a 540XL i would use the 12.

However.........a 580L or a Neu would be great!

Im probably gonna run this setup : Feigao 9xl , Seaking 180 and 6s lipo on a 42mm prop heard of a lot of people running this setup with no problems and getting around 60 mph.

I'll have almost identical setup but with 580 10XL. I think my 9xl getting too hot. Maybe it is not feeling well :)

Did not have GPS on the 1st run. now ESC cooked from some water getting in. It had some cheap ass ebay ESC. Right now waiting for the 580 10xl in the mail.
i might still try 580 9xl but even with stock prop is just passed the 5 second test. maybe 5.5... It might be a bit messed from before though, so I'm planning to just stick with 580 10xl. Will report once I get all in in about 1.5 weeks.
