    Micro Outrigger

I believe it was offered by Renegade, the micro outrigger looks amazingly fast at approx 40-45 mph! and for such a small rig! is it true? What do you all think of pushing that little hull faster? what speeds would you think are capable out of it? that is if you can add enough power without sinking it I want something fast but very small. I know this is basically the same post as below but im just throwing it out there 50-55mph? i know....get a bigger hull right?!!! LOL

I have one, and I can tell you from driving mine, it is a blast. It is so stupid fast its not even funny. IMHO because of the weight,if it went any faster it would never be able to handle it. If you really think about it, that boat only weights like 13oz rtr, and is powered by a powerful outrunner and Lpo, it is already at its limits. Imo get one, take your sweet time building it, and run it.

    heres my build

Thanks 83 Chev, im getting closer to my dicision on making the purchase. Your build looks great! What size Lpo and runner are you using? What do you think it runs mph? and how much run time do you get? one more? how sealed is the hull? ie. in blow overs? for the $$$ doesnt seem to be a better bang for the $$$$....

        A 1250mah, 3s, 15c Lipo, by Great planes

and the motor is the one that you can get with the kit.

With the stock prop , it is so much faster than my sv27, so Im guessing maybe
40-45mph, some where in between. I never got to run it though an entire pack, the water conditions would always go to hell. I have had no leaks in the hull, just leaks from me overlooking things(push rod tube ,antenna tube). But Using hatch tape I never had any problems with leaks.

40-45mph! yes! as it comes!...... now thats some speed for a 13oz. 13" long rigger. I have plans to build my own similar to the micro. I think i will go just a bit bigger, say 15L x 12W. This way i can hopefully sqeeze out some more speed with the added weight. I want to make this thing hit 55+. I know its possible with the right setup and conditions. Everyone is telling me the reason the micro may never see 55+ is the fact its only 13oz.'s. Well then lets add some length / width which equals a bit more weight lol.
Now i am confident in my building skills. I just need some guidance on the basics of riggers, i.e. the air gap inder the tub when sitting on flat surface, riggers...parallel to bottom of tub or degree'd. I will experiemnt but want to be in the ball park when i start. Also, i have seen some riggers with the motors/prop offset and the rudder offset to the opposite side of the hull? why is this? I want to get more straight speed than anything. Thanks
