    Nitro Villain EX

do you think its possible. my villain just caught on fire and everything is shot and i kinda wanted a new boat anyway and i was just thinking if it was possible. you could use the same engines from the nitro vee, but have two of them, put the tank were the batteries go. and take out the gear box. would it work? if this work it will be pretty crazy

Personally, I would think it would be WAY eaiser, and cheaper to sell the fried VEX and just buy a nitro V. You would have to cut all on the hull, install the engine, tank, all that good stuff. it would be a project for sure. and I bet traxxas wants 150$ or more for the .15 marine engine....which from what I understand is nothing to write home about anyway.

Just trying to help. So whats your plan dude?

my villain ran faster than the nitro vee and i heard and see that it breaks alot and goes slow. and if i got the engines for my boat the only thing i would have to cut would be the deck. converting to nitro with twin engines will be alot cheaper and faster than any twin engine boat out there now (bonzi 84" apache)

I think it would be to much work I just dont think the hull can handle it

I bet the nitro V hull has some more reinforcement for the nitro engine and things like that. It cannot be exaclty the same...I have a villain 7.2v which is the same hull as the VEX. There is no way that flimsy thing could handle some nitro power.......................Or atleast I doubt it.

wait...you wanna put 2 nitro engines in this hull? Is that what you are saying? Then you have lost me....But again, I would say the weight in that 31" V would be to much.....2 engines means 2 tanks of fuel, 2 of everything. One word. HEAVY.

i would have one tank running both engines and i would try to sync both engines with one servo
